The ROC compliance calendar every private limited company lives or dies by

AOC-4, MGT-7A, ADT-1, DIR-3 KYC, DPT-3 — what each one is, when it's due, and what ₹100/day forever actually means.

The recurring calendar

DIR-3 KYC (every director): 30 September. DPT-3 (return of deposits/loans): 30 June. AGM: within 6 months of financial year end (30 September for March-ending companies). AOC-4 (financial statements): within 30 days of AGM. MGT-7A (annual return, small companies): within 60 days of AGM. ADT-1 (auditor appointment/reappointment): within 15 days of the AGM that appoints.

Corporate ITR: 31 October (audit cases). Miss the AGM chain and every downstream form is late automatically.

What late actually costs

AOC-4 and MGT-7A late fees are ₹100 per day, per form, with no upper cap. A company that forgets its filings for a year owes ₹36,500 per form — documented consumer complaints include a ₹70,000 penalty for a single missed year while a paid 'compliance package' was active. The statutory liability sits with the company and its directors, not with whoever you hired — which is why 'who owns this deadline' is the only question that matters when buying a compliance package.

Questions to ask any compliance provider

Can I see every deadline of mine in one place, with an owner against each? Do you notify me before or after it's late? What happens — in writing — if you miss one? If the answers are 'trust us', the ₹100/day is your risk, not theirs.
